With approximately 70,000 residents, Woodbury is the eighth largest town in Minnesota. Sitting immediately east of Saint Paul, it is a convenient location for commuting into the big city and enjoying all that it offers for work and play. Woodbury covers more than 35 square miles, and it offers plenty for residents to enjoy inside its city limits as well. Many people who look for Woodbury, MN homes for sale work for one of the many larger or smaller employers in the community.
Woodbury was originally settled as a farming community. Most of the farms have been removed over the years, but the Charles Spangenburg Farmstead dates back to the 19th century and is included on the National Register of Historic Places. Numerous lakes dot the landscape, and there are 45 local parks that are adjacent to or surrounding many of the lakes. A 100-mile trail system connects many of the parks. Notable recreation areas include the Bielenberg Sports Center, the Prestwick Golf Course and the Eagle Valley Golf Course. Each summer, residents and visitors head to Ojibway Park for the annual Woodbury Days festival.
